Another Opening Night Live has come and gone and this years show did not disappoint from borderlands to mafia we have all the announcements, info and trailers you need to know about.
Borderlands 4
Borderlands is back baby after a less then stellar live action outing no really it not good gearbox have graced us with the first teaser trailer for Borderlands 4. Now there isn’t much here but we do have what seems to be the return of Guardians First introduced in Borderlands the Pre-Sequel and Unlike previous entries, the game will not take place on Pandora, but a different planet. The definitive looter shooter arrives in 2025.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
We got a really good look at the ‘Most Wanted’ campaign mission form Call of Duty Black Ops 6. A missions that seems to tease being able to tackles missions how you want to unsure if this is a constant through the whole campaign or just in a few choice missions. Regardless this was cool to see and really feels like it harkens back to the black ops 2 days where your choices really mattered and could affect the campaigns story fingers crossed were about to see that again.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 releases on October 25th
Goat Simulator Remastered
One of the weirdest announcement trailers ever but somehow right on brand Goat Simulator Remastered was announced and It’s coming later this year.
Dying Light: The Beast
Dying Light: The Beast a brand-new game set in the Dying Light universe and sees the return of fan favourite protagonist Kyle Crane, a legendary hero who breaks free after years of brutal experiments. Now, he must realize there’s more at stake than just revenge. No release date yet but we are very excited.
King of Meat
Ladies and Gentlemen I proudly present to you Medieval Fall Guys King of Meat is a colourful combat spectacle that pits Contenders against creative dungeon masterpieces. With a combination of creative co-op combat, user-generated dungeons, and ridiculous customisation options, King of Meat brings countless possibilities to express your own creativity. No release date for this one yet.
Lynked: Banner of the Spark
Lynked: Banner of the Spark is a brand new game form developer Fuzzy Bot Team-up, brawl and build in this co-op action game that blends hack and slash combat with roguelite-inspired missions and town-building progression that goes beyond the run! Unlock and upgrade gear, rescue robot allies, and lead the resistance against the world-dominating Combots! The game looks really fun and we cant wait to jump in when it comes to Steam early access on 22nd October.
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage
We got brand-new trailer for Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, Don’t Nod Montreal’s newest game that seem to give of a sort of Life is Strange like feel. The trailer is great and its first episode launches on 18th February 2025, and its second arrives not long after on the 18th March.
Arc Raiders
The next game from the The Finals creators Embark Studios, Arc Raiders is a team shooter that was originally revealed all the way back in 2021 finally kind of but not really got a release window and the reveal that it’s no longer going to be a free-to-play game. It’s coming in 2025, with a playtest taking place later this year.
Predecessor
Inspired by the legacy of Paragon, Predecessor has entered 1.0 the full version is available to play right now and its free to play.
Dune Awakening
We got a really good look at Dune Awakening at the show giving us a look at a players first steps into the world including character creation a look at crafting, building and the different factions the player can join as well as a look at the iconic Sandworms. Arrakis never looked so good. Dune Awakening drops next year.
Reanimal
First show at the THQ Nordic direct Reanimal comes from the creators of Little Nightmares I & II. They have returned to take you on a darker, more terrifying journey than ever before. In this horror adventure game, a brother & sister go through hell to rescue their missing friends and escape the island that they used to call home. No date for this one yet.
Monster Hunter Wilds
We got our third trailer for monster hunter wilds and with it a look at a brand new monster the Lala Barina a giant scary looking spider seen lurking in the brand new area revealed for the game The Scarlet Forest. We also got as look at the hunter settlement, New characters, NPC Support hunters and some tasty meats Still no date only that the game is coming in 2025 hopefully we know more on a release date soon because I just can not wait.
Civilization VII
We got a gameplay reveal for Civilization VII after the absolute blue balling we got at Summer Games Fest with just the title drop we got a decent amount of gameplay here and thew announcement of Civilisation showcase that happened after the show. The game is coming 11th February 2025.
Marvel Rivals
Coming off the lengthy but very fun Marvel Rivals beta we gat a look at the last two heroes being added to the game before it finally launches on the 6th of December they are Captain America with his broken shield that can reflect ult’s. And the Winter Soldier who has and ult that resets as long as he gets a kill with it which is crazy.
Secret Level
Probably one of my favourites announcements from the show is something we have all been waiting for years for a Tv show Based on some of our favourite video games by Blur Studios. This anthology series covers some of gaming’s greats including PAC-MAN, Warhammer 40,000, Concord, Mega Man, Unreal Tournament, Armored Core, Spelunky and Sifu just to name a few. I can not wait and thankfully we dont have to wait long it releases on Prime on 11th December.
Masters of Albion
The king of broken promises is back Peter Molyneux with his new development studio 22cans they revealed Masters of Albion. Design, build and customise your world, from the food your people eat to the clothes they wear, the weapons they wield to the homes they live in. Possess characters at will in this unique God Game.
Dark and Darker Mobile
Dark and Darker is coming to mobile, and pre-registrations are available now get hyped.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
We got a brand new Hype trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle narrated by Troy Baker giving us insight into his joy of being able to portray on of cinemas greatest heroes. At the end of the trailer we were finally given the release date of December 9th 2024 and also the announcement of it release on PS5 in spring of next year. very excited for this release.
Mafia: The Old Country
Closing out this year’s Opening Night Live was the best announcement by far the return one of my favourite franchises of all time Mafia. Uncover the origins of organized crime in Mafia: The Old Country, a gritty mob story set in the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily. Coming 2025 with more info coming in December at the game awards I would assume. we got very little but this was such a hype announcement and now the wait for more in December begins.
