Sad day for Mortal Kombat fans as it would appear that a third year worth of content that was originally planned has been cancelled
According to a credible leaker know as _FateUnknown_ A third year of content for the fighting game was planned but has been cancelled due to poor sales of the first expansion Khaos Reigns.
The Third year was set to include Kombat pack 3 and a second story expansion but it is no more According to _FateUnknown_ “All cancelled recently, no more characters after kombat pack 2. A Kameo or two might make it since there has been work done on them but I dont know yet.”

This news is sad as Ed Boon said it was his hope that this would be the longest supported MK to date. We here at one up really enjoyed MK1 at launch but are yet to drop into the DLC maybe we will have to very soon but be sure to let us know what you guys think.

One response to “Mortal Kombat 1 Leaker says all Year 3 Content has been Cancelled including a Story Expansion”
Considering the stark difference in reception between the base game, and the last expansion, this actually doesn’t surprise me and I think probably is wise for them to drop it, and invest their resources into something else. Maybe the next injustice?
