The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), formerly known for organizing the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), has unveiled a new event called the Interactive Innovation Conference, or iicon. Scheduled for April 27–30, 2026, at the Fontainebleau Resort in Las Vegas, iicon aims to unite visionaries and thought leaders from various sectors to explore the transformative impact of interactive entertainment.
A Shift from Traditional Gaming Conferences
Unlike E3, which primarily focused on gaming announcements and consumer demos, iicon is designed as an invite-only summit. It seeks to foster collaboration among industries influenced by video game advancements, including film, television, music, sports, healthcare, education, and finance. ESA President and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis emphasized that iicon is “a completely distinct event with a different purpose and a different audience.”

The conference will feature visionary keynotes, engaging discussions, workshops, and elite networking opportunities with executives shaping the future of entertainment, business, and technology. By bringing together sectors such as film, television, music, sports, healthcare, education, and finance, iicon aims to explore the intersection of interactive entertainment with other industries.
