So we finally got the State of Play we were all waiting for and if you missed the show or just want to go over it again well we have you covered we have the rundown of everything announced at the show.
Sony’s February 2025 State of Play showcased a variety of exciting announcements for PlayStation 5.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on February 28, 2025. The game introduces new colossal foes, including the majestic Mizutsune, with a post-launch Title Update planned for this spring.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will be released on Aug. 28, bringing back the Shinobi franchise.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
Sega debuted a trailer for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds during the State of Play, and announced that a closed network test is set for Feb. 21.
Race across land, sea, air, space, and time in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds! Warp through Travel Rings into new dimensions where something new awaits around every twist and turn. Speed to victory solo or as a team in a variety of offline and online modes and compete against players from around the world. Digimon Story Time Stranger
Set to launch in 2025 on PlayStation 5, this JRPG allows players to traverse between the human world and the Digital World, featuring an improved battle system and beloved characters like Agumon and Omegamon.
Lost Soul Aside
Fight to save your world. Save your sister. Save your soul. Embark on an epic odyssey to save your sister and the whole of humankind from dimensional invaders. Pre-order Lost Soul Aside from February 19th.
Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced a PS5 demo available on February 14, 2025, for this action-adventure featuring fan-favorite character Goro Majima.
Dave the Diver
Ichiban ventures into the Blue Hole, in hopes for a much-needed getaway. But he’s in for more than just a holiday— unsettled threats and new, unforgettable friendships lie ahead! Get ready to join Ichiban and the Blue Hole crew for a wild ride in DAVE THE DIVER: Ichiban’s Holiday DLC, arriving in April.
WWE 2K25
For the first time in WWE 2K franchise history, step outside the ropes and onto The Island. In this immersive WWE-themed world, complete quests, take on challenges, compete in live events, and upgrade and customize your MySUPERSTAR through multiple storyline chapters.
WWE 2K5 is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on March 14.
Borderlands 4

Hazelight Studios’ upcoming co-op game Split Fiction got a new story trailer during the State of Play, showing more about the adventures players will enter.
Directive 8020
Supermassive Games introduced Directive 8020, a sci-fi horror game set to release on October 2, 2025. The game follows astronauts on a mission to save humanity, with every choice potentially being their last.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic
Steel Wool Games announced that Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic will launch on PS5 and PS VR2 on June 13, 2025. The game offers a new adventure in the horror series, with players encountering new objectives and terrors.
The Midnight Walk
Moonhood returned with a new gameplay trailer for this handcrafted dark fantasy adventure, set to launch on May 8, 2025. The game features interconnected realms of London and colossal knights roaming Greater London.
Darwin’s Paradox!
Help Darwin the octopus escape a food factory and get back to the ocean in Darwin’s Paradox!, which was debuted during the event.
Warriors: Abyss
WARRIORS x Roguelite Action Take command of historic and masterful warriors by challenging countless swarms of enemies. Through victory and defeat, traverse the merciless trials of hell. WARRIORS: Abyss available now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4!
Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny
Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny will be released on May 23. “Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny returns with higher resolution graphics and modernized controls to perform Issen critical counter attacks and intense swordplay,”
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Onimusha: Way of the Sword got its first trailer trailer and a release window: 2026. The new trailer debuts the new protagonist, Miyamoto Musashi.
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater
Konami announced the remake’s release date as August 28, 2025, featuring the return of the Snake vs Monkey minigame mode
Hell Is Us
An action-adventure game with a new gameplay trailer showcasing characters and combat mechanics. The PS5 release date is set for September 4, 2025.
Lies of P: Overture
Lies of P: Overture is a prequel to Lies of P, announced for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Dreams of Another
Q-Games introduced this third-person exploration-action game for PS5 and PS VR2, centered around the theme, “There is no creation without destruction.” Players will rebuild the world through unconventional mechanics
Days Gone Remastered
Scheduled for release on April 25, 2025, this remastered version enhances the original with improved graphics, Tempest 3D Audio, and DualSense features. New content includes a survival arcade mode, Horde Assault, and Permadeath mode. Owners of the PS4 and PC versions can upgrade for $10 USD.
OMFG Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC
The sci-fi action game announced a collaboration with My Favourite Games Goddess of Victory: Nikke, introducing new content such as a boss battle, collectible dolls, stickers, and outfits. Both the PC version of Stellar Blade and the Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC launch in June 2025.
Blue Prince
Blue Prince, a “genre-bending, atmospheric, architectural adventure where you explore an ever-changing manor of 45 shifting rooms,” was announced with a debut trailer.
Abiotic Factor
Abiotic Factor, in early access on Windows PC, will be released on console later this year.
Tides of Annihilation
“When the streets of London are engulfed by an Outworld invasion, the only survivor, Gwendolyn, discovers a mysterious power to command the legendary Knights of the Round Table,” reads the YouTube description for Tides of Annihilation. “Driven by vengeance and the desperate need to save her sister, she embarks on a high-stakes journey across two worlds: a shattered modern London and the mythical Avalon.”
Metal Eden
Reikon Games introduced this sci-fi FPS set on a future space colony under threat. Players control combat-ready android Aska to protect colonists. The game launches on PS5 on May 6, 2025.
Mindseye
An action-adventure game following Jacob Diaz’s journey to uncover his past in the fictional near-future city of Redrock. The game is slated for a summer 2025 release on PS5.
Saros
Housemarque, the studio behind the acclaimed game Returnal, has announced their upcoming title, Saros, set to release on PlayStation 5 in 2026 and noted that the gameplay trailer will come later this year.
