Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is an upcoming racing game developed by Sonic Team and published by SEGA. The game introduces a multiverse concept, allowing players to race through various dimensions, each offering unique challenges and environments.
Key Features:
- Diverse Tracks: Players can race across land, sea, air, space, and time, exploring new dimensions with each race.
- Character Roster: The game features a wide array of characters from the Sonic universe, including Sonic, Eggman, Shadow, Knuckles, Amy, Tails, Metal Sonic, Sage, Vector, Jet, Silver, Omega, Big the Cat, Cream, and Zazz.
- Customization: Players can build and customize their machines to match their racing style, unlocking gadgets and power-up items to gain an advantage.
- Modes: The game offers various offline and online modes, including “World Match” for online racing, “Machine Customization,” and “Gadget Customization.”
Closed Network Test:
A closed network test is scheduled from February 23 to February 25, 2025, for PlayStation 5 users. Participants can sign up before the deadline on February 19, with the possibility of early closure due to high demand. Testers do not need a PlayStation Plus subscription. The test will feature online racing in “World Match” mode, as well as “Machine Customization” and “Gadget Customization” modes. It includes six tracks, five CrossWorlds, nine characters, and 16 vehicle options. Despite signing up, participation is not guaranteed, and selection will be random.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is planned for release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
