Cities: Skylines 2 Console Release Won’t Happen Before The Summer

WHEN

Paradox Interactive has announced that the console versions of Cities: Skylines II will not be released before the summer of 2025. Originally slated for an October 2023 release alongside the PC version, the console launch was postponed to spring 2024 to address performance and optimization issues. However, further delays have pushed the release window to summer 2025.

The game, developed by Colossal Order, continues to utilize the Unity engine and aims to enhance city-building simulations with improved economic systems and customization options. Despite the delays, the PC version was released in October 2023, followed by additional downloadable content (DLC) packs, including the San Francisco Set and Beach Properties Asset Pack.
