Killing Floor 3 is delayed less than three weeks before launch

Oh Dear

Tripwire Interactive has announced a delay for Killing Floor 3, pushing its release from March 25, 2025, to an unspecified date later in the year. This decision comes after a closed beta test received significant negative feedback from players. The beta reportedly suffered from performance issues, a cluttered user interface, and a departure from the series’ traditional tone, with some players expressing dissatisfaction over its futuristic setting and gameplay design.

In response to the feedback, Tripwire acknowledged that they had “missed the mark” and are working to address concerns related to performance, stability, UI/UX, lighting, and weapon feel. They also plan to implement an update post-launch allowing players to independently select their perk class and character.

As a result of the delay, pre-orders for Killing Floor 3 on platforms such as PlayStation, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store will be automatically canceled and refunded. Steam pre-orders will remain unless a refund is requested.

Tripwire has not yet provided a new release date but assures players that they are committed to delivering a game that aligns with the franchise’s core experience.
