RoboCop: Rogue City Sequel Unfinished Business Announced

Looks Awesome

Nacon and developer Teyon have announced RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, a standalone expansion to the 2023 first-person shooter RoboCop: Rogue City. Scheduled for release in Summer 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, this title continues the saga of the iconic law enforcer, RoboCop.

In Unfinished Business, players will navigate OmniTower, a vast housing complex constructed by Omni Consumer Products (OCP) for the residents of Old Detroit. The narrative unfolds after RoboCop’s victory over Detroit’s gangs, with crime persisting in the streets. OmniTower, initially a beacon of hope, has been overtaken by elite mercenaries, transforming it into a formidable fortress. Players will ascend this towering structure, confronting mercenaries and restoring order.

The game introduces new adversaries, including flying drones, anti-personnel turrets, armored minigun-wielding foes, katana-wielding cyborgs, and jet-pack-equipped enemies. To combat these threats, RoboCop gains access to new weapons, notably the Cryo Cannon, and enhanced finishing moves, such as smashing opponents against concrete walls or vending machines.

A distinctive feature of Unfinished Business is the inclusion of missions where players experience the world from the perspective of Alex Murphy, RoboCop’s human counterpart. These segments delve into Murphy’s backstory, offering a deeper understanding of his transformation into RoboCop. Peter Weller reprises his role, providing both voice and likeness for Alex Murphy/RoboCop.

Am I the only one who thinks this could have been a Judge Dredd game this feels kind of like the plot of the movie Dredd or is it just me.
