“Postal 2,” the controversial first-person shooter released in 2003, is receiving a virtual reality (VR) port 22 years after its original debut. Developed by Running With Scissors, the VR adaptation is being handled by Flat2VR Studios in collaboration with Team Beef. The game will be available on multiple VR platforms, including PlayStation VR2, SteamVR, and Meta Quest 2 and 3.
“For the first time ever, POSTAL 2 is fully reimagined for VR, bringing its dark humor, open-world mayhem, and unapologetic absurdity to an entirely new level,” the game’s description reads. “Step into the well-worn boots of The POSTAL Dude, a hapless everyman just trying to get through the week in the bizarre town of Paradise, Arizona. Whether you choose to play it cool or go completely POSTAL is entirely up to you.”

“Postal 2” invites players to experience a week in the life of “The POSTAL Dude,” engaging in open-world sandbox gameplay filled with dark humor and over-the-top scenarios. The VR version aims to enhance this experience with features tailored for virtual reality, such as manual weapon handling, gesture-based interactions with non-playable characters (NPCs), and physics-driven melee combat. The inventory and mini-map systems have also been redesigned to suit VR gameplay.
While the exact release date has not been announced, the VR adaptation of “Postal 2” is generating excitement among fans eager to revisit or experience the game’s unique brand of chaos in a new immersive format.
