People Can Fly, renowned for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has entered into a production agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment to develop a new game prototype codenamed “Project Delta.” This project will utilize an existing Sony intellectual property (IP), with People Can Fly working on a work-for-hire basis. While specific details about the IP have not been disclosed, speculation suggests possibilities such as Killzone, Resistance, or SOCOM, given People Can Fly’s expertise in shooter games.
The Management Board of PCF Group S.A. with its registered office in Warsaw (the “Company”) hereby informs that on 13 March 2025 the Company and Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC with its registered office in San Mateo, California, USA (the “Publisher”) concluded a production agreement (Prototype Development Agreement) (the “Production Agreement”), regarding cooperation of the parties in the production of a prototype for a new video game codenamed Project Delta (the “Product”), based on the intellectual property rights owned by the Publisher.
The Production Agreement provides that works on the Product will be performed in the work-for-hire model, i.e. by the Company as a developer as commissioned by and for the Publisher in return for which the developer will receive the agreed remuneration from the Publisher.
In accordance with the Production Agreement, work on the Product will be divided into milestones. The detailed terms of cooperation between the parties regarding achieving and payment for subsequent milestones are set forth in a milestone schedule to the Production Agreement.
The scope and terms of the Production Agreement do not differ substantially from the terms of production agreements typically concluded for this type of project.
The conclusion of the Production Agreement is in line with the update of the Strategy of the Company and the People Can Fly capital group announced by the Company on 31 January 2023, according to which if there are commercially attractive opportunities for cooperation with reputable partners in the work-for-hire model, then the Company will take full advantage of them.
