Counter-Strike 2 has once again set a new record for concurrent players, reaching an all-time peak of 1,824,989 on March 15, 2025.
This surpasses the previous record of 1,818,773 players set in May 2023 during the final months of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This surge in player activity is largely attributed to the game’s robust esports scene and its prominent presence on streaming platforms like Twitch. Major events, such as the ongoing ESL Pro League, have significantly contributed to heightened engagement and visibility.

While these impressive numbers highlight the game’s popularity, it’s important to note that a portion of the player count may include bots used for activities like item trading and case farming. Estimates suggest that bots could make up anywhere from 5% to 60% of the total player base, though exact figures are debated.

Overall, Counter-Strike 2’s consistent growth and record-breaking milestones underscore its enduring appeal and dominant position in the competitive gaming landscape.
