Playtonic Games has announced that Yooka-Replaylee, the enhanced remaster of the beloved 2017 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee, will be co-published by PM Studios alongside Playtonic Friends. This collaboration aims to bring the game to a wider audience upon its release later in 2025.
The remaster is set to launch on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Notably, the use of the term “Nintendo” in promotional materials hints at compatibility with both the current Nintendo Switch and its forthcoming successor.
A new gameplay trailer was unveiled during The MIX x Kinda Funny Spring Game Showcase, showcasing enhanced visuals and gameplay features. Playtonic has emphasized their commitment to delivering a nostalgic yet refreshed experience for both new players and long-time fans.
