Recent leaks suggest that Pokémon Legends: Z-A, scheduled for release in late 2025, will feature 27 new Mega Evolutions. This substantial addition would significantly expand the existing roster of 48 Mega Evolutions introduced in previous titles.
The leaks originate from a source known as Pyoro, who hinted at this number through a cryptic message referencing the “Escape” key on a keyboard, which corresponds to ASCII code 27. This clue led fans to speculate about the inclusion of 27 new Mega Evolutions.
While the complete list of these new Mega Evolutions remains undisclosed the leaker revealed that Gen 5 and Gen 6 Mega Evolutions will be included in the game, and they have heard that Gen 6’s Zygrade is one of the Megas that can be expected in the upcoming instalment. Some reports indicate that Pokémon such as Victreebel, Starmie, Chandelure, and Excadrill might receive this enhancement. Additionally, the game also features starter Pokémon from previous generations, including Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile who’s final evolution will most likely get the mega evolution treatment also.

It’s important to note that these details are based on unverified leaks and speculation, and official information from The Pokémon Company has yet to confirm the inclusion of these Mega Evolutions. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, fans should await official announcements as the release date approaches.
