Reliable and regular Pokémon leaker Centro Leaks is back at it again. In a March 25 message on their X page, they said: “Pokémon Legends Z-A will not introduce any new Pokémon species.”
Instead, the game will reportedly focus on bringing back familiar Pokémon, including 27 new Mega Evolutions—such as Skarmory and Zygarde. Mega Evolutions, last seen in Pokémon X and Y, are a special form of evolution that temporarily boosts a Pokémon’s strength in battle.
While the lack of new species or regional forms may seem like a step back, the game will likely lean heavily on this focus on Mega Evolutions to introduce new strategies and excitement. Fans can expect to see familiar faces and possibly more detailed evolutions of existing Pokémon.
Take all this with a grain of salt of course this news is still unofficial until the developers release more details, so keep an eye out for official announcements to confirm these reports.
