Gearbox Software has announced that Borderlands 4 will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025. This version is set to launch alongside those for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a global release date of September 23, 2025.
Borderlands 4 transports players to the new planet of Kairos, introducing a seamless open-world experience without loading screens. Players will encounter a variety of environments, vehicles, and traversal tools, including a grappling hook. The game supports both solo play and cooperative multiplayer with up to three other players.
While specific details about the Nintendo Switch 2 version’s features are yet to be fully disclosed, it’s anticipated to leverage the console’s unique capabilities, such as motion controls and enhanced graphics.
