With the Nintendo Switch 2 launching June 5th, here is everything featured in the overnight Direct, in the order it was announced.
Mario Kart World
Exclusive for the Switch 2, Mario Kart World is going open world. The game will still feature classic Grand Prix, circuit racing but now you can travel between races or participate in linked races across multiple courses. There are also new modes such as Free Roam and Knockout tour which reduces the player count at each checkpoint (think Battle Royale). The game has also been confirmed to support four players on one system. Check out the embedded trailer below for more:
There will be a Mario Kart Direct on April 17th at 11:00 PM AEST.
The new C button was revealed
The chat button allows for direct interaction with the new GameChat feature which is pretty much Discord for Switch 2. GameChat also supports a newly announced Nintendo Switch 2 camera.
GameChat requires an online membership after March 2026.
GameShare
It allows multiple switches to play the same game with one purchase (for compatible games). Similar to the Download Play feature on the DS.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is getting even more minigames and an upgrade on Nintendo Switch 2! The upgrade expands on the base game and adds Nintendo Switch 2 gameplay features, such as mouse controls, enhanced rumble, sound recognition, and modes that use a camera accessory (sold separately).
