Nintendo Switch 2 Lands FromSoftware Exclusive The Duskbloods

Nintendo has announced The Duskbloods, a new multiplayer action game developed by FromSoftware exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for release in 2026. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, known for his work on Elden Ring and Dark Souls, the game introduces a player-versus-player-versus-environment (PvPvE) experience, accommodating up to eight players. Players will embody the “Bloodsworn,” warriors enhanced by a unique bloodline, competing to achieve the “First Blood” amidst a setting reminiscent of FromSoftware’s acclaimed Bloodborne.

The announcement trailer showcases a gothic atmosphere with steampunk influences, featuring cryptic dialogue, blood rituals, and a blend of Victorian and futuristic elements. This fusion has led fans to speculate that The Duskbloods may serve as a spiritual successor to Bloodborne, especially considering the ongoing demand for a remaster or sequel, which remains unlikely due to Sony’s rights to the original IP.
