First reported by Insider Gaming Ubisoft is reportedly developing a new turn-based tactics game set in the Rainbow Six Siege universe. According to Insider Gaming, the game is planned for release on current-generation consoles, including Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, PC, and possibly Nintendo Switch 2. The gameplay is said to feature a top-down perspective reminiscent of titles like Diablo 4 or XCOM, where players will control Rainbow Six Siege operators. Missions may involve scenarios such as raiding buildings and rescuing hostages, with an estimated playtime of 25-30 hours, depending on player skill.
This development has generated significant interest among gamers. Discussions on platforms like Reddit highlight enthusiasm for a tactical, turn-based approach within the Rainbow Six universe. One user commented on the potential of such a game, expressing a preference for the Tactics Ogre system over Final Fantasy Tactics.
However, it’s important to note that Ubisoft has not officially confirmed these reports, and details may change as the project progresses.

this actually sounds cool. I quite liked Gears of War tactics and XCOM, this would be a cool addition to the genre.

Actually was thinking about this some time ago. I feel like Counter Strike would have the perfect base for this kind of game. You could even reuse the existing CS2 maps.
