Respawn have announced that Apex Legends has moved over to Amazon Web Services.
It’s unclear based on information provided whether or not the move from Unity’s Multiplay will improve the games performance but it does mean that Respawn is taking a look at the long held community complaint regarding network performance.
Goes without say that AWS is a solid platform, but it’s up to Respawn to implement their solution well but moves like this usually mean going from older servers and technology to newer servers and technology, even if the move was in reverse, so chances are this will be a net positive for the game moving forward.
