Remedy Entertainment is preparing to pull back the curtain on its highly anticipated co-op shooter, FBC: Firebreak, during a dedicated livestream set for Thursday, April 24 at 10:00 AM EDT.
The showcase promises an in-depth look at new gameplay, launch details, and what’s ahead for the title, which takes place in the twisted, supernatural universe of Control. This will be the first major update since the release of the game’s chaotic “Hazards of the Job” trailer earlier this month, which featured everything from explosive pink goo to flying desk chairs possessed by eldritch forces.
What Is FBC: Firebreak?
FBC: Firebreak is a three-player co-op first-person shooter that puts players in the boots of elite emergency response teams within the Federal Bureau of Control. The game is set after the events of Control, focusing on the containment of supernatural outbreaks caused by the Hiss and other anomalous threats.
Firebreak shifts away from Remedy’s usual single-player storytelling and dives into action-oriented multiplayer chaos, but the studio has promised that its signature weirdness and world-building are fully intact.
According to Remedy, the game will heavily emphasize environmental unpredictability, emergent combat, and squad-based tactics. Think Left 4 Dead, but dipped in Control’s surrealist, bureaucratic horror.

When and Where to Watch
The FBC: Firebreak livestream will be available on Remedy’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, airing at the following times:
- AEST (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) – Friday, April 25 at 12:00 AM
- ACST (Adelaide, Darwin) – Thursday, April 24 at 11:30 PM
- AWST (Perth) – Thursday, April 24 at 10:00 PM
The stream will feature never-before-seen gameplay, dev insights, and potentially a concrete release date. As of now, FBC: Firebreak is slated for Summer 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with day-one availability on PlayStation Plus Extra and Xbox Game Pass.

With FBC: Firebreak, Remedy seems to be branching into uncharted territory without losing the DNA that made Control a standout. Between the Bureau’s twisted lore, high-concept set pieces, and a co-op format ripe for replayability, Firebreak could become one of this summer’s biggest sleeper hits—if Remedy nails the landing.
