VOID Interactive’s hardcore tactical shooter Ready or Not is officially breaching onto consoles. The game, which has built a loyal following on PC thanks to its intense SWAT-based gameplay, is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
While a specific release date hasn’t been announced, the console versions are expected to land sometime between June and August, with both digital and physical editions available at launch.
Two New Maps, Exclusive Weapons for Pre-Orders
The console release isn’t just a port — it’s getting some fresh content too. VOID Interactive is adding two brand-new levels exclusive to console at launch, designed specifically to take advantage of next-gen hardware. Players who pre-order will also receive three exclusive weapons, giving them a head start on the battlefield.
Interestingly, those same weapons will be distributed for free to existing PC players, a nice touch for the community that’s supported the game since its early access days.
Price, Editions, and Crossplay
The Standard Edition of Ready or Not will retail for $49.99 USD Which is approximately $82.48 AUD, while a Deluxe Edition will be available for $69.99$69.99 USD approximately $115.48 AUD. The Deluxe package includes two future DLCs and early access to an as-yet-unannounced third content drop.
Even better — the game will support full crossplay between PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, allowing console players to squad up regardless of platform.
Built for Realism
Ready or Not has earned praise for its grounded, realistic take on tactical law enforcement scenarios. The game places players in the role of an elite SWAT team leader, with missions that demand careful planning, split-second decision making, and adherence to strict rules of engagement.
From hostage rescues to bomb defusals, every mission in Ready or Not feels tense and meaningful — a big reason the game’s 1.0 launch on PC in late 2023 was so well received.
Console Optimization Promised
VOID Interactive promises the PS5 and Xbox versions are being fully optimized for console, including reworked UI, refined controller support, and graphical tweaks to maintain the game’s intense, high-stakes atmosphere.
More details on pre-order availability and the exact release date are expected in the coming weeks. For now, players can wishlist the game on the Xbox Store, with PlayStation pre-orders likely to follow soon.
