The release date and pricing details for Mafia: The Old Country have been officially confirmed. The game is set to launch on August 8, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Nvidia GeForce Now.
In a notable departure from the standard pricing of AAA titles, the Standard Edition will be available for $49.99 USD, while the Deluxe Edition, which includes the Padrino Pack featuring special weapons, outfits, and accessories, will be priced at $59.99 USD.
For Australian players, the Standard Edition is priced at $89.95 AUD, and the Deluxe Edition at $109.95 AUD.
Developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games, Mafia: The Old Country serves as a prequel to the original Mafia trilogy. Set in early 1900s Sicily, the game follows protagonist Enzo Favara as he ascends through the ranks of the Torrisi crime family. Unlike its open-world predecessor, Mafia III, this installment returns to a more linear, narrative-driven format, emphasizing storytelling and historical authenticity.
The game is built using Unreal Engine 5, promising enhanced visual fidelity and immersive environments. Notably, it features full audio dubbing in several languages, including Sicilian, to enhance authenticity.
Pre-orders are now available across all platforms.
