Get ready, 47. IO Interactive is stepping out of the shadows for a showcase of its own.
IOI has announced that their very first IOI Showcase will stream live on Friday, June 6 at 6 PM PT, offering an inside look at what the legendary Danish studio has been cooking. The team behind Hitman, Freedom Fighters, and the upcoming Project 007 says the event will offer a mix of new reveals, developer insights, and a glimpse into the future of IOI’s slate.

It’s expected to be a short but punchy event IOI has said this will be “focused and meaningful,” which we’re reading as lean and loaded.

The crown jewel? Without a doubt, Project 007, IOI’s long-awaited James Bond game. First revealed in late 2020 with a brief teaser, details have been scarce ever since. Fans are hoping for a full gameplay reveal, a release window, or at the very least, a tone-setting cinematic that finally shows off this original origin story for Bond.
But that’s not all IOI has up its sleeve.
- Hitman-related news is also expected. After Hitman: World of Assassination wrapped up the trilogy with post-launch updates and Freelancer mode, IOI has hinted the franchise isn’t going dormant. Could we see a new standalone entry? Or perhaps an expansion for Freelancer?
- Behind-the-scenes content is also being teased—expect dev diaries and commentary from the Copenhagen, Malmö, and Barcelona offices as IOI reflects on the past and looks to the future.
Could There Be a Surprise?
Here’s the wildcard: IOI has reportedly had a third IP in development alongside Project 007 and Hitman. Internally referred to as “Project Fantasy,” it’s described as an online fantasy RPG that aims to break new ground for the studio. While it’s unlikely to get a full blowout this year, don’t rule out a teaser or concept trailer to plant the seed.
