Netmarble has officially revealed Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE for Xbox Series X|S and PC, set to launch in fall 2026. Announced during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, this new title builds upon the success of Solo Leveling: ARISE and brings the beloved webtoon’s explosive action to a new level with full co-op multiplayer and a console debut.
A Next-Level Adaptation
Based on Chugong’s phenomenally popular webtoon Solo Leveling, ARISE OVERDRIVE puts players in control of Sung Jinwoo, the weakest hunter turned god-tier shadow monarch. While ARISE introduced players to Jinwoo’s journey with stylized action and deep RPG progression, OVERDRIVE aims to crank everything to eleven.
The visuals are pure anime spectacle fluid, high-speed combat animations, environmental destruction, and jaw-dropping boss fights all on display. According to Netmarble, players will have full control over their fighting style, including weapon loadouts and skill combinations, along with the ability to perfectly dodge and parry enemy attacks using “Extreme Evasion” mechanics.
In short, it’s Jinwoo’s story like never before.
Multiplayer Shadows Rise
One of the biggest surprises in ARISE OVERDRIVE is the introduction of 4-player cooperative gameplay. Players will be able to form parties and take on raids, dungeons, and large-scale boss battles together. The multiplayer system will reportedly support unique hunter builds, encouraging teamwork and strategic coordination between players who specialize in different combat roles.
The game’s campaign will still follow the webtoon’s original storyline, but will also introduce brand new missions and boss fights exclusive to this title. That means even long-time fans will have fresh content to uncover in Pharohm’s shadow-infested world.
Built for Console, Sharpened for PC
Unlike the original ARISE (which began as a mobile and PC game), OVERDRIVE is being developed with console-level presentation and optimization from the ground up. Xbox Series X|S players can expect a high-fidelity experience with fast load times, crisp combat visuals, and controller-first gameplay design.
PC players will also be well served, with full keyboard/mouse support, graphical enhancements, and planned cross-play with Xbox.
No PlayStation or Nintendo Switch versions have been announced at this time, but Netmarble hasn’t ruled out additional platforms in the future.
More Than Just a Power Fantasy
The Solo Leveling universe is known for more than just flashy battles it’s a story of grit, desperation, and ultimate redemption. ARISE OVERDRIVE looks to expand on that legacy, preserving the emotional beats of Jinwoo’s rise to power while layering in new gameplay and narrative content to keep both veterans and newcomers invested.
It’s not just about mowing down demons it’s about the cost of strength, the isolation of power, and the legacy of a lone hunter who changed the world.
The Wait Begins
While Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE won’t arrive until late 2026, fans can dive into the original ARISE now via the Netmarble Launcher, with a Steam release still planned for later in 2025. And with playable builds expected to appear at upcoming game events, we should be seeing a lot more of OVERDRIVE in the months to come.
