Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.3 launches today along with Mac support

A solid little update!

Developed alongside Virtuos, CD Projekt Red has revealed the latest Cyberpunk 2077 update packed with new quests, nice to have features, some technical upgrades and support for MacOS running Apple Silicon.

Cyberpunk will be available on the Mac App Store alongside the standard storefronts Steam, GOG and Epic. For a deep dive on what to expect on each Apple chip head to this CD Projekt Red support page but generally speaking it appears that the game has thoughtfully been ported with various presets for each Apple chip alongside native support for Apple’s graphics APIs.

Owned vehicles can now self-drive to a destination via map markers but additionally “Night City’s premier driverless taxi service is fully operational now too thanks to the ability to summon a Delamain cab, choose a destination, and then let Delamain chauffeur players to their destination” whilst ” various cinematic camera angles can also be enjoyed, allowing passengers to take in Night City in a whole new light.”

A new motorcycle and three new cars have also been added which can be unlocked via specific quests:

  • Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru from the Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown comic
  • Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred”
  • Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa
  • Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila

A bunch of new Photo Mode features have been added including customisable weather and time of day along with new NPCs, outfits, poses, stickers and frames. There are also now greater controls for “how NPCs look at the camera during shooting, with greater control over heads, eyes, and shoulders during any pose, bringing deeper command over every shot.”

As for technology improvements, the game getting VRR support on consoles, AMD FSR4 & AMD FSR 3.1 Frame Generation, Intel XeSS 2.0 plus improved HDR settings on PC.

There is a whole bunch more detail in the patch notes about bug fixes and some good house keeping improvements such as an increase in max save size from 12 MB to 15 MB.

Update 2.3 is out today on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and for the first time, Mac.
