Little is known about The Eternal Life of Goldman, but the showcase offered the first real glimpse. REANIMAL Unveils More of Its Strange World
REANIMAL continues to be one of THQ Nordic’s more experimental titles. A new trailer expanded on its surreal, emotionally-charged narrative and showed off more of its unusual, hybrid creature designs. The game blends exploration and puzzle elements in a world that appears both eerie and endearing. Support for the Switch 2 was confirmed, alongside current-gen platforms.
Darksiders 4 Officially Revealed
The biggest headline of the night was the reveal of Darksiders 4. The cinematic teaser featured all four Horsemen-War, Death, Fury, and Strife-standing united against a chaotic Earth in turmoil. While gameplay details were light, the tone suggests a return to the apocalyptic themes that defined the series, possibly with a co-op or multi-character mechanic at its core. Long-time fans like me had been waiting for this, and judging by the buzz online, THQ Nordic delivered.
The 2025 THQ Nordic Digital Showcase leaned heavily into fan service, but did so with a surprising amount of polish and ambition. With Darksiders 4 leading the charge, and a solid mix of remakes, sequels, and oddball originals filling out the rest, THQ Nordic proved it has a firm grip on both its legacy and its future.
While some announcements were light on detail, the broad diversity of genres and tones on display should give nearly every type of gamer something to look forward to. Whether it’s revisiting the crumbling mines of Gothic, racing through wreckage, or battling through myth and fire, THQ Nordic’s lineup promises variety and depth in equal measure.
Let’s hope the final releases live up to the promise of the showcase.
