Annapurna Interactive, known for publishing some of the most critically acclaimed indie games of the past decade, has officially announced its first-ever participation in the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025. The event, set to run from September 25 to 28 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, will mark a major milestone for the boutique publisher.
At its TGS booth, Annapurna will offer attendees a chance to play some of its well-known titles, including LEGO® Voyagers, Stray, and the beloved space exploration game Outer Wilds. But the real draw comes from the three unannounced projects that will be playable for the first time. Details on these games remain scarce, though the publisher has promised full reveals in the weeks leading up to the show.
“This is an exciting moment for us,” said a spokesperson for Annapurna Interactive. “Tokyo Game Show is one of the largest gaming events in the world, and it’s the perfect place to share our vision and connect with players in Asia.”
Attendees will be able to explore the three mysterious games hands-on at Booth 06-C01 in Hall 6. For fans unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed online, allowing audiences worldwide to experience the announcements and gameplay demonstrations.
Speculation is already rife among fans and industry insiders. Will the new titles continue Annapurna’s tradition of narrative-driven, artistically daring games? Or will the publisher surprise the gaming world with something entirely different? Either way, anticipation is high, and the Tokyo Game Show may well be the first chance to glimpse the next wave of indie gaming experiences.
As TGS 2025 draws nearer, fans are encouraged to follow Annapurna’s official channels and the Tokyo Game Show website for updates. One thing is certain: Annapurna Interactive’s debut in Tokyo promises to be one of the most intriguing showcases of the year.
