Xbox has officially announced its presence at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025 with a live stream set for Thursday, 25 September, starting at 3:00 AM PT. For Aussie fans, that’s 8:00 PM AEST on Thursday night, perfect for catching the action from the comfort of your own couch.
The broadcast will be available on YouTube and Twitch, showcasing Xbox’s internal projects alongside updates from partners across Japan, Asia, and beyond. While the full lineup hasn’t been revealed, industry insiders are tipping that a major highlight could be the first look at Forza Horizon 6, rumoured to be set in Japan a locale fans have long been hoping to see in the franchise.
In addition to the live stream, Xbox will maintain a limited physical presence at the show. Attendees in Chiba, Japan, will get hands-on time with Ninja Gaiden 4, launching later this year on 21 October 2025, and the new ROG Xbox Ally X handheld, which is slated for global release on 16 October 2025.
The Tokyo Game Show itself runs from 25–28 September at Makuhari Messe, and organisers are expecting it to be the largest TGS in history, with more than 1,200 game titles on display. Fans tuning in from Australia will want to mark their calendars: the stream starts 8:00 PM AEST on Thursday, 25 September.
Whether you’re an Xbox enthusiast or just keen to see the latest Japanese gaming announcements, this year’s TGS promises to deliver some standout moments.
