Embark Studios is giving players one last chance to jump into ARC Raiders before its official launch later this month. The studio has announced a “Server Slam,” a large-scale open test that will run from October 17 to 19, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Unlike previous closed playtests, this one will be open to everyone. No codes, no invites, no strings attached just download the client on your platform of choice and join in. The test is designed to push servers to their limits ahead of the game’s full release on October 30.

What’s Included in the Test

Players jumping in will be able to explore the Dam Battlegrounds map, a large zone designed for cooperative firefights and scavenging runs. Embark has confirmed that elements of progression, crafting, and quest chains will be available during the test. While your progress won’t carry over to the final game, participants will unlock an exclusive backpack cosmetic that will transfer to the launch version as a thank-you for taking part.

Stress tests like these are crucial for online titles, especially in an era where rocky server launches can sink a game’s reputation on day one. By opening the floodgates early, Embark can fine-tune performance, balance, and stability while giving players a proper hands-on look at the evolving looter-shooter.

ARC Raiders has had a winding road since its original reveal in 2021, but the game has steadily taken shape into something more ambitious than the early trailers suggested. The upcoming Server Slam looks to be both a technical trial and a marketing push, putting the spotlight on the game just two weeks before launch.

For anyone curious about how ARC Raiders plays or simply eager to secure that limited cosmetic reward the October test will be the perfect chance to dive in.
