Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut Heading to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC This December

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio are giving Yakuza 0 another chance to shine. Following its Switch 2 debut earlier this year, the newly expanded Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on December 8, 2025.

This re-release isn’t just a straightforward port. The Director’s Cut comes packed with new features aimed at both long-time fans and first-timers. Alongside a full English dub something the original game never had the update includes an additional 26 minutes of story cutscenes that expand character arcs and add more context to the events leading up to the series’ modern entries.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is the addition of Red Light Raid, a new online mode that plays like a horde survival challenge. Up to 60 characters from across the series can be unlocked and used in this arena, offering a mix of fan service and fresh gameplay that sits outside the main narrative.

Whether you’ve played it before or have only heard friends rave about it, December 8 will mark a fresh opportunity to experience one of the most defining chapters in the Yakuza series this time with a little extra polish and some brand-new surprises.
