Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan

The one we have been waiting for!

Forza Horizon 6

Announced at the Xbox Tokyo Games Show 2025 Broadcast, and unfortunately a few minutes before that via an Instragram Ad, the next Forza Horizon will be set in Japan.

We don’t know much about the Playground Games developed Forza Horizon 6 beyond the fact its set in Japan, releasing in 2026 on Xbox Series / PC & Steam with a PS5 release coming after an exclusivity window.

A couple of highlights from the Forza.net article:

Forza Horizon 6 will launch first on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC in 2026. It will be included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch. With the excitement for this franchise on other platforms, we also have Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios working together to bring Forza Horizon 6 to PlayStation 5 post-launch.

In Forza Horizon 6, you will get to discover a scenic and breathtaking Japan, where you will build up your racing status to become a Legend at the Horizon Festival.

This adds to the momentum that 2026 is shaping up to be an absolutely crazy year for video games.
