Bandai Namco has confirmed that Digimon Story: Time Stranger will be receiving its first major DLC later this year, bringing with it new Digimon, quests, and an expanded storyline.

The add-on, officially titled Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 1: Alternate Dimension,” continues the time-traveling adventure that made the base game such a hit with fans. While the publisher hasn’t locked in a release date just yet, the update is planned to arrive sometime this year, as part of the game’s season pass.

A New Dimension to Explore

According to Bandai Namco, the DLC introduces a fresh storyline that takes players across alternate timelines and distorted versions of the Digital World. Players can expect new enemies, a few returning faces, and some unexpected twists that tie back into the main game’s ending.

The update also expands the roster of recruitable Digimon, adding several high-tier evolutions that fans have been asking for including BlitzGreymon, CresGarurumon, Omnimon Zwart Defeat, and Omnimon Alter-B. Each comes with its own evolution route, so those who love experimenting with builds will have plenty to dig into.

It’s been a strong year for Digimon fans, and Time Stranger’s post-launch support shows Bandai Namco isn’t slowing down. Even without a concrete release date, “Alternate Dimension” sounds like the kind of meaty expansion that could easily pull players back into the grind.

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to revisit your team and push your Mega lineup a little further, this upcoming DLC might be just what the Digital Doctor ordered.
