After releasing late 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series and PC, developer Embark have announced that support for the PlayStation 4 version of the game will be “retired”.
From Season 10 starting on the 18th of March in 2026, The Finals will no longer work on PS4, and players will need to move to a current generation console, PC or Geforce Now to continue playing. Embark have highlighted that progress and purchases will follow players wherever they play thanks to the Embark ID account system.
It will be interesting to see if the game shakes anything up with the additional room to move on performance and development hours.
