A brand-new Star Wars digital collectible card game is officially in development, with Zero36 Studio teaming up with CCG Lab to bring the iconic galaxy far, far away into the competitive card game space.
According to the announcement, the project will allow players to battle across the Star Wars galaxy, building decks centred around characters, factions, and locations from across the franchise. While specific gameplay details remain under wraps, the developers have confirmed that the title is being designed as a fully digital experience rather than a physical-to-digital hybrid.
The collaboration between Zero36 Studio and CCG Lab suggests a strong focus on competitive balance and long-term live-service support. CCG Lab has previously worked on systems-driven card experiences, while Zero36 Studio is positioning the project as an accessible entry point for both Star Wars fans and traditional CCG players.
At this stage, no release window, platforms, or monetization details have been announced. However, the phrasing around “battling across the galaxy” implies multiple eras, factions, and possibly narrative-driven events tied to different corners of the Star Wars timeline.
With Star Wars already spanning action games, RPGs, strategy titles, and mobile experiences, this new card game represents another push to expand the franchise into genre spaces dominated by titles like Hearthstone and Marvel Snap.
