Hi Fi Rush

Hi-Fi RUSH is officially going all-in on physical media, with Limited Run Games unveiling three separate physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S ahead of pre-orders opening on January 16.

Leading the charge is the Rhythm Edition, the core physical release that brings Tango Gameworks’ rhythm-action hit to disc for the first time. While details on bonus contents are minimal, it serves as the most accessible option for players who simply want a boxed copy on their shelf.

Next up is the Smidge Edition, which leans heavily into Hi-Fi RUSH’s music-first identity. This version includes a three-disc soundtrack featuring developer notes, all housed in packaging designed after the game’s now-iconic refrigerator character. It’s a clear nod to fans who connected with the game’s humor and audio-driven design.

Headlining the announcement is the Project Armstrong Edition, a premium collector’s set that includes everything from a 90+ page art book to an 808 plush, rounding out what Limited Run describes as the ultimate way to experience the world of Vandelay Industries. This edition bundles all previously mentioned content and is aimed at long-time supporters and collectors.

The physical release is being produced in partnership with KRAFTON, with Limited Run Games thanking Xbox and Bethesda for their collaboration in bringing the project to life. Wishlist pages are already live ahead of pre-orders opening on January 16.

For a game that built its reputation on style, sound, and personality, the physical rollout feels appropriately theatrical and marks a rare late-stage physical push for a modern, digitally-led release that never stopped finding new fans.
