Another FromSoftware universe is making the jump from console to the tabletop. Group SNE has announced it is adapting Elden Ring Nightreign into a full tabletop role-playing game, continuing the studio’s growing slate of Soulsborne-inspired TTRPGs.
Group SNE is no stranger to translating FromSoftware’s worlds into dice, rulebooks, and character sheets. The company has previously released tabletop adaptations for Dark Souls, Armored Core VI, and the original Elden Ring, all of which leaned heavily into dense lore, punishing systems, and cooperative play. Nightreign appears to be following that same philosophy.
The Elden Ring Nightreign TTRPG is currently scheduled to launch in spring 2026. While full rules details haven’t been revealed yet, the tabletop version will be based on Nightreign’s core identity a reimagining of Elden Ring built specifically around three-player co-op. That design shift alone suggests a more focused party structure than the original game, which could translate cleanly into tabletop sessions built around tight coordination and shared survival.
Nightreign itself is a twist on FromSoftware’s open-ended formula, emphasizing smaller group dynamics rather than lone Tarnished wandering the Lands Between. If Group SNE’s previous work is anything to go by, players can expect mechanically demanding encounters, lore-heavy source material, and systems that reward careful planning over brute force.
At this stage, details on mechanics, regions, and whether Nightreign-specific enemies or factions will be included remain under wraps. However, given Group SNE’s track record, the adaptation is likely to stay faithful to FromSoftware’s tone while reshaping it to fit the rhythm of tabletop play.
More information on the Elden Ring Nightreign TTRPG is expected closer to release, but for fans of both Soulslikes and tabletop RPGs, this is shaping up to be another brutal and intriguing way to experience the world of Elden Ring.
