Developer Full Circle has confirmed that layoffs have taken place at the studio as part of an internal restructuring effort aimed at supporting the long-term future of skate..
In a message shared with the community, the studio said it is reshaping its team structure as the free-to-play skateboarding game continues to evolve following its Early Access launch.
Studio Restructuring Underway
Full Circle explained that the changes are meant to better align the team with the ongoing development of skate., which remains the studio’s primary focus.
According to the statement, the restructuring means that some roles within the studio will be impacted, though the company did not disclose how many employees are affected.
The studio emphasized that the layoffs are not a reflection of the work done by those leaving the company.
“The teammates affected are talented colleagues and friends who helped build the foundation of skate. Their creativity and dedication are deeply ingrained in what players experience today.”
Full Circle also said it will support those departing during the transition.

Despite the layoffs, the studio stressed that development on skate. is ongoing and that its commitment to the game remains strong.
The message thanked players for their continued feedback since the Early Access launch, noting that tens of millions of players have already explored San Vansterdam, the game’s open-world setting.
“Our work on skate. continues. We look forward to working with you as we move faster, listen more closely, and deliver consistently for all of you.”
