The latest entry in the long-running Pokémon franchise is off to a strong start. Pokémon Pokopia has sold more than 2.2 million copies worldwide in just four days, according to figures shared by The Pokémon Company.
The announcement highlights the game’s immediate global success, with one million of those sales coming from Japan alone during the same launch window.
A Fast Start for the New Pokémon Release
Crossing the two-million mark within a few days puts Pokémon Pokopia among the faster-selling titles in the franchise’s recent history. While the Pokémon series has consistently delivered strong launch numbers, reaching over two million copies in under a week shows the continued momentum of the brand.
Japan, traditionally one of the series’ strongest markets, accounted for nearly half of the early sales total. The remaining copies were sold across international markets, demonstrating the franchise’s massive global reach.
Another Win for the Pokémon Brand
The Pokémon series remains one of the most commercially successful entertainment franchises in the world. New releases tend to generate immediate attention from longtime fans as well as newcomers, and early sales figures for Pokémon Pokopia suggest this trend is continuing.
Although the company has not yet shared a platform breakdown or digital versus physical sales split, the early milestone indicates the game has had a strong launch across all regions.
More Milestones Likely Ahead
Launch week numbers are often only the beginning for Pokémon titles, which typically maintain strong sales momentum for months or even years following release.
With 2.2 million units already sold within four days, Pokémon Pokopia appears well positioned to continue climbing the charts as more players jump in during its first full month on the market.
