PUBG x Stellar Blade Crossover Brings EVE to the Battlegrounds

Keen for this one

Another big gaming crossover is on the way, and this one feels like it was practically built in a lab for internet discourse.

PUBG: Battlegrounds is officially teaming up with Stellar Blade, with the newly announced collaboration introducing EVE as the latest “Contender” to enter the Battlegrounds.

Dubbed Contender #003: EVE, the crossover leans hard into the survival angle, reimagining the protagonist of Stellar Blade not as humanity’s saviour, but as just another fighter dropped into a world where survival is the only thing that matters.

It’s a pretty clean fit, honestly.

While details are still fairly light beyond the reveal itself, the collaboration appears centred around EVE-themed in-game content, likely including cosmetics and other event-related additions built around the character’s visual identity and combat-ready design.

The timing is also already locked in.

The PUBG x Stellar Blade collaboration will launch first on PC on April 8, followed by a console release on April 16 (UTC).

That staggered rollout isn’t unusual for PUBG, but it does mean PC players will get first crack at whatever the event ends up including.

The more interesting part of this crossover is what it says about where Stellar Blade sits right now. EVE has quickly become one of PlayStation’s more visible newer characters, and collaborations like this usually don’t happen unless there’s confidence that the character has real staying power. Whether you love the game, hate the discourse around it, or are just here for the chaos, there’s no denying that EVE has become a marketable face fast.

And PUBG, for all its evolution over the years, is still one of the easiest places to drop a recognizable character into a giant sandbox and let the internet do the rest.

So yes EVE is entering the Battlegrounds.

And based on the tone of the reveal, she’s not there to sightsee.
