Xbox has officially kicked off its 25th anniversary celebrations with a new crossover promotion with Fanta, bringing a handful of its biggest franchises to cans and bottles along with in-game rewards, sweepstakes, and limited-edition flavours.

According to Xbox Wire, the promotion began on April 6, with fans able to scan QR codes found on participating Fanta packaging to enter prize draws, complete interactive challenges, and unlock digital rewards.

The collaboration includes themed packaging based on Halo, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, and Forza Horizon 6, the latter arriving just ahead of the game’s launch in May. Fanta is also rolling out a special Diablo-themed flavor called Fanta Crimson, described as a sour cherry variant. Other featured flavors include Grape for Forza Horizon 6, Orange for Call of Duty, Pineapple for Halo, and Strawberry for World of Warcraft.

As for rewards, players can earn or enter to win a mix of hardware and in-game content, including a ROG Xbox Ally, Xbox Series S 1TB, Xbox Wireless Controllers, and one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for new subscribers.

The in-game bonuses are a little more interesting. Xbox says players will be able to claim items like The Master Chief’s Fantastic Spartan Armor in Halo: Campaign Evolved, the Fantastical Goblin Waveshredder Mount in World of Warcraft, a Tactical Orange Calling Card and 1-Hour 2XP Token in Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops 7, the Citron Whirl Town Portal in Diablo IV, and a 1966 Toyota Sports 800 Fanta Edition in Forza Horizon 6. Some rewards will only become redeemable once their respective games launch.

Right now, there’s no official confirmation on local availability in Australia and New Zealand, though with Xbox FanFest Sydney also planned as part of the company’s anniversary celebrations, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more regional details soon.

For now, it looks like Xbox’s 25th birthday is starting with soft drink branding, QR codes, and a Diablo-themed cherry can which, honestly, feels very 2026.
