It looks like fans may have a much longer wait ahead for JUDAS.
According to new reports, the highly anticipated project from Ken Levine is now targeting a release window of 2028 or potentially even 2029, significantly later than many had expected following the game’s reveal in 2022.
Developed by Ghost Story Games, JUDAS has been positioned as the spiritual successor to Levine’s work on the acclaimed BioShock franchise. The game promises a narrative-driven first-person experience built around player choice, dynamic storytelling, and a futuristic setting aboard a deteriorating starship.
While neither Levine nor publisher Take-Two Interactive has officially confirmed a new release window, the reported delay suggests development remains ongoing and that the team is taking additional time to realize the project’s ambitious vision.
The extended timeline means JUDAS could arrive more than a decade after Levine’s last released game, BioShock Infinite, further cementing it as one of the industry’s longest-awaited projects.
For now, fans will have to remain patient as development continues behind the scenes. If the reports are accurate, JUDAS is shaping up to be a title aimed squarely at the next generation of gaming hardware and technology.
