Remedy Entertainment’s latest release is officially the fastest-selling game in the studio’s history.
Remedy Entertainment has announced that CONTROL Resonant has sold over 1 million copies worldwide, reaching the milestone just three weeks after its launch on September 24, 2026.
The achievement makes CONTROL Resonant the fastest-selling game in the developer’s 31-year history, surpassing Alan Wake 2, which took approximately two months to reach the same milestone.
In a statement, Remedy CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon described the sales milestone as a “very strong start”, highlighting the game’s launch during a particularly competitive release window.
CONTROL Resonant follows Dylan Faden as he confronts a supernatural crisis engulfing Manhattan, wielding extraordinary abilities and a shapeshifting melee weapon known as the Aberrant.
The game is Remedy’s first self-published release of this scale, making its early commercial performance particularly significant for the studio as it looks to expand the CONTROL franchise and reach a wider audience.
With one million copies sold in just three weeks, CONTROL Resonant is off to a strong start as Remedy looks to build on the success of its growing portfolio of supernatural action games.
