Serious Sam is going multiversal, and apparently one Sam Stone wasn’t enough.
Devolver Digital and Behaviour Interactive have announced that Serious Sam: Shatterverse will launch on August 31, 2026, bringing the long-running shooter series into roguelite territory with a multiversal twist.
The new first-person shooter will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the PC version available through Steam and the Microsoft Store.
And yes, there are multiple Sam’s. Five of them, in fact.
With its multiverse storyline, roguelite progression and relentless run-and-gun combat, Shatterverse looks like an appropriately chaotic evolution of the Serious Sam formula.
Serious Sam: Shatterverse launches August 31, 2026. It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC
