Geoff Keighley has confirmed when gaming’s biggest night of the year will return. The countdown to The Game Awards 2026 has officially begun.
Geoff Keighley has revealed that this year’s event will take place on December 10, 2026, bringing the annual celebration of the games industry back to the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
The announcement was made by Keighley on social media, confirming that there are now just four months to go until the industry’s biggest awards show returns.
And while the awards themselves are obviously a major part of the night, let’s be honest: most people will also be watching to see what gets announced.
Tickets and More Information Are Coming Later
For anyone hoping to attend the show in person, tickets haven’t gone on sale just yet. Keighley confirmed that more information, including ticket details, will be shared later in the year. Until then, all we can really do is wait and speculate about what might appear on the stage.
Will we see the next big PlayStation reveal? Could Xbox have something massive lined up? Will one of gaming’s long-awaited projects finally reappear? And perhaps most importantly, what trailer will Geoff Keighley introduce with the words “world premiere” this time?
We have a few months to find out.
