Sony has officially announced a brand-new State of Play Japan showcase, set to air on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 (Wednesday, November 12 AEST). The broadcast will run for around 40 minutes, focusing entirely on games developed in Japan and across Asia from major PlayStation studios to some of the region’s most creative indies.

The Japanese broadcast will be hosted by voice actor Yuki Kaji, best known for playing Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan and Issei Hyoudou in High School DxD. Sony promises developer interviews, featurettes, and a few announcements tailored specifically for Asian audiences.
The decision to spotlight Japan and Asia makes a lot of sense it’s where many of PlayStation’s most beloved franchises originate, and where some of its most loyal fan communities live.
