Forza Horizon 6 has been given a late January 2027 release date for PlayStation 5. The standard edition releases January 26th, with the premium edition unlocking five days earlier.
Slipping slightly from the original 2026 release window, this news wasn’t announced as widely as usual and feels like the PS5 release is not being hyped up by Xbox the way it would have been before the recent changes in direction included Xbox returning to releasing some Xbox exclusives again such as Gears of War E-Day.
A big spread was however uploaded to the Forza.net website alongside the pre-order trailer to YouTube where between the two it confirms the expected content parity between the platforms.
Playground Games have also taken the opportunity to share that the first premium expansion will be releasing January 21st alongside a free content update both of which they will be sharing more about later.
Playground Games also took a moment last week to acknowledge players who have been underwhelmed by post-launch support and have said they’re “looking into future changes to both in-game content and the ways we communicate with you”.
Hopefully expansion one, alongside an expansion to the player base helps rebuild momentium.
