After months of anticipation, Capcom has finally confirmed the release date for Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

First unveiled during The Game Awards 2024, the next entry in the legendary action series will launch on September 25, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The latest reveal showcased more of the game’s intense sword combat, supernatural enemies, and dark historical fantasy setting, giving fans their best look yet at the long-awaited revival of the franchise.

Set in a reimagined feudal Japan plagued by demonic forces, Onimusha: Way of the Sword blends fast-paced action with the series’ signature soul-absorbing mechanics, while introducing a fresh protagonist and a more cinematic presentation powered by modern hardware.

With its September release date now locked in, Onimusha: Way of the Sword is shaping up to be one of Capcom’s biggest releases of 2026.
