Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 3 Announced for PS5 and PC

Bandai Namco has revealed the next entry in its free-to-play Gundam combat series, featuring cross-play support and mobile suits from across the franchise.

Bandai Namco has officially announced Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 3 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, bringing another instalment of its free-to-play team-based combat series to modern platforms.

Developed by Bandai Namco Forge Digitals, the game will feature large-scale online battles where players take control of iconic mobile suits from across the Gundam universe.

Combat will focus on tactical teamplay, with players needing to balance long-range firepower, close-quarters combat and each mobile suit’s unique abilities to secure victory.

Players will also be able to exit their mobile suits and fight on foot, allowing them to plant explosives at enemy bases, request support fire and capture important battlefield objectives.

Between matches, players can visit Base Camp, a social hub where they can interact with other players and prepare for their next deployment.

The game will feature mobile suits from several Gundam series at launch, including Mobile Suit Gundam, The 08th MS Team, 0083: Stardust Memory and Gundam SEED. Bandai Namco also plans to introduce two to three additional series from the franchise’s alternative timelines during the game’s first year.

Cross-play between PS5 and PC has been confirmed, alongside support for English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
