After weeks of leaks and rumors, Ubisoft has finally made it official. Rayman Legends: Retold was revealed during Sony’s June 2026 State of Play, bringing one of the most beloved platformers of the last decade back for modern audiences.

The announcement confirms that Rayman Legends: Retold is a full reimagining of 2013’s critically acclaimed Rayman Legends. While the original remains widely regarded as one of the best 2D platformers ever made, Ubisoft is enhancing the experience with upgraded visuals, modernized features, and brand-new content.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is the addition of entirely new 3D gameplay sections, marking a significant departure from the original game’s exclusively side-scrolling design. The new content appears to blend the series’ signature fast-paced platforming with fresh perspectives and challenges.

The reveal follows a string of leaks that surfaced ahead of the showcase, including reports about the game’s pricing and the unexpected inclusion of an additional free Rayman title. While Ubisoft has yet to fully detail everything included in the package, today’s announcement confirms that the project is very real and much bigger than a simple remaster.
