Konami has officially lifted the curtain on Silent Hill: Townfall, confirming that the highly anticipated psychological horror title will launch on September 24, 2026.

The announcement arrived during Sony’s June 2026 State of Play, where a brand-new trailer offered the most substantial look yet at the game’s unsettling world, eerie atmosphere, and first-person survival horror gameplay.

Set in an isolated corner of Scotland in 1996, Silent Hill: Townfall follows Simon Ordell, a man called back to the remote island of St. Amelia to confront a dark chapter of his past. Unlike previous entries in the series, Townfall presents its story entirely through a first-person perspective, placing players directly into its oppressive and disturbing environment.

The new footage showcased exploration, environmental puzzles, and tense encounters with grotesque creatures. Players will rely on a limited selection of weapons and tools to survive, including one of the game’s most unusual devices a portable CRT television that appears to play a key role in both the story and gameplay.

An ESRB rating for the game surfaced online just hours before the showcase, fuelling speculation that a release date announcement was imminent. Those rumours proved accurate, with Konami delivering both a fresh trailer and a firm launch date.
